Callery Ceramics was established in 1998 by husband and wife team Tom Callery and Grainne Mac Loughlin. Located in the picturesque townland of Breeogue, we are four miles from Sligo in the heart of the country. Here in a renovated stone farmhouse, we create an extensive range of both functional and decorative handcrafted ceramic pieces and we welcome special orders and commissions.
STONEWARE Our stoneware domestic range is handthrown and finished with great care. Each piece goes through a series of firings (up to 1260 C). This process makes the pottery durable for everyday use from oven to table. It is also suitable for use in microwave ovens and dishwashers. | RAKU Alongside this, we produce an extensive range of decorative handbuilt pieces using an ancient Eastern technique called Raku. This range includes highly decorative clocks, wall-plaques, square platters, lamps, sculpted pieces and murals
| Our
work in the pottery is constantly evolving with new products being added
to the range. Many of these pieces begin on the potters wheel and are then
altered and sculpted to provide decorative elephants, egg-cups, lidded bottles
and jars.
